Dear Visitor,
Our mission is to support individuals, teams and organizations that are facing the communication and intercultural challenges of globalization.
TGC was established in Boulder, Colorado, in 1990. Drawing on 13 years experience living and working in Germany as well as doctoral research on German-American communication patterns, TGC started as a niche provider for German-American cross-cultural services. That niche focus allowed us to create superior content and customer responsiveness at a very competitive price. Our two-day training program Businesskontakte mit Amerikanern (Business Contacts with Americans), designed to help German business people work more effectively with Americans was an instant success.
Building on this first success, Doing Business with Germans was then developed to aid Americans working with Germans. Like its older brother, this workshop was also an immediate success and continues to be in great demand today.
These two workshops have been attended by thousands of associates at major German and American corporations on both sides of the Atlantic. While the courses have been updated and improved repeatedly, one of their basic messages has not changed: Understanding the cultural logic behind a person’s behavior opens doors for better relationships, creative problem-solving and effective collaboration.
More recently, TGC broadened its scope of services: In 1999, we launched our Cultural Intelligence workshop, a training program originally designed for young executives taking on international responsibilities. This course has since been expanded to help both leaders and members of international teams develop the communication skills and intercultural competencies necessary to succeed in a global business environment.
One of the highlights of the year 2000, was the publication of Germany-Unraveling an Enigma, a practical guide to German culture and communication. This book has been received enthusiastically by audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
Since 2000, TGC has expanded further and now provides team building workshops for international teams as well as individual Coaching for executives and associates working in a global business environment.
What can we do for you?
With best regards, Greg Nees, Ph.D. Founder and President |
